peix
A modern frontend for UPV ETSINF internship listings — mobile-friendly browsing of company placements.
Story of the Product
peix was a student-facing rewrite of the official PEIX platform at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Informática (UPV): the place where students look for internships in companies.
The goal was to bring that experience up to modern web standards — clearer navigation and usable access from phones — while staying honest about scope. The app focused on browsing offers; posting or applying still went through the official site.
Source is on GitHub. It once lived at peixupv.es.
Replace this with your own telling — what was painful about the official UI, how students used peix day to day, what you would do differently.
Tech Stack
- AngularJS (frontend)
- PHP (backend)
- Redis / Predis
- Deploy scripts for the hosted instance
- GPL-3.0
Current Status
Abandoned. The official PEIX site improved enough that keeping a parallel frontend no longer made sense. The repo remains as a record of the work.
Adjust this if you ever revive a piece of it or want to note what still holds up.
